The Cancer Diagnostics and Monitoring Division (CDM) serves as an interdisciplinary forum for clinical chemists, laboratory scientists and technologists, pathologists, clinicians, geneticists, and researchers interested in developing and studying laboratory assays and tools for the diagnosis and monitoring of cancer.

To allow our members to stay at the forefront of cancer diagnostics and monitoring and improve patient outcomes, updates and educational forums on advances in the use of established and emerging molecular techniques and tumor markers will be organized. Special considerations for other types of testing relevant to cancer patients, such as hematology and infectious diseases will be included. These initiatives ensure continuous professional development, drive advocacy, and promote the dissemination of valuable insights and best practices.

To foster communication, innovation, and collaboration between laboratorians and clinicians, the exchange of ideas, experiences, and scholarly activities is encouraged. We also seek to establish strong partnerships with other ADLM divisions, professional societies, diagnostics and technology manufacturers, as well as regulatory agencies in the field of tumor markers and molecular cancer diagnostics.
