The ADLM Past President’s Award is presented annually to the immediate past president of the Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (ADLM) in recognition of their extraordinary leadership and service to the Association and the field of clinical laboratory science. This award honors the recipient’s career‑long contributions to laboratory medicine, as well as their significant impact on ADLM through dedicated service, strategic leadership, and commitment to advancing the Association’s mission. The Past President’s Award acknowledges both the professional accomplishments of the individual and the lasting influence of their leadership during their term as ADLM president.

Anthony A. Killeen, MD, BCh, PhD, DABCC, FADLM

Anthony A. Killeen, MD, BCh, PhD, is a professor of laboratory medicine and pathology and the director of clinical laboratories, University of Minnesota Medical Center (Adult Hospital).  He has served in many leadership positions within the Association of Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (ADLM) (formerly AACC), including ADLM president from August 2024-July 2025, ADLM president-elect from August 2023-July 2024 and secretary from 2017 to 2020.  Dr. Killeen served as chair of the Education Core Committee from 2022-2023.  Dr. Killeen is currently serving as the immediate past president of ADLM.

Dr. Killeen's research interests are in clinical trials, hypertension, and the use of "big data" in laboratory medicine.
