The Expo part of the 68th AACC Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo continues to live up to its billing as the world’s largest gathering for clinical laboratory medicine. As CLN Stat went to publication, more than 700 companies from at least 30 countries were planning to showcase cutting-edge technologies from across the in vitro diagnostics (IVD) industry.
The bustle and energy of the Expo is palpable each year, with more than 18,000 people exploring the latest IVD technologies, making worldwide connections, and showcasing their cutting-edge products and services. Many attendees manage their Expo experience by returning several times over the course of 3 days. The 2016 AACC Clinical Lab Expo at Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia will be open August 2 and 3 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and August 4 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Attendees interested in a little advance work on their Expo visit can search exhibitors online, honing in on testing categories and exhibitors’ countries. In addition, clicking icons at the top of the exhibitor list reveals exhibitors who have enhanced listings, or who have provided information on specific products, videos, press releases, and links to their social media accounts. Attendees also can take a gander at the Pennsylvania Convention Center exhibit hall floor plan.
New product showcase items are listed separately, and will be highlighted at the Expo via interactive touchscreen kiosks and a highly visible electronic billboard.
In addition to their booths on the show floor, many exhibitors also are sponsoring Hotel Industry Workshops or Industry Workshop Exhibit Hall Theater presentations. Original equipment manufacturers also will be hosting OEM Lectures on the show floor.
